OCHA CUP - Premium "Green" Corporate Gift / Souvenir

The Made-in-Malaysia OCHA CUP is suitable for coffee, tea, or any hot/cold drink. It makes a great gift for corporate clients and staff as it is quite handy, sturdy, and scratch-resistant; and most importantly, it comes with a lid to retain heat or cold of the drink for a certain period of time.

The OCHA CUP, having the height of 10cm, the diameter of 8cm and the weight of 200gm, is priced at RM13.90 each (without laser engraving).

Background

This OCHA CUP is made from locally produced rice husks (an agricultural by-product). It can withstand a temperature between -30C and 120C. It is dishwasher-safe and can be used in microwave only for reheating and defrosting. Given the right environment, the cup is gradually biodegradable and compostable after 120 days; hence, it reduces pollution.

The entire manufacturing process of the rice husks OCHA CUP is carried out in a chemical-free and an eco-friendly environment, without any waste or by-products that may be harmful to the environment. The process can be broken into these steps:

· Rice Husks is first ground then filtered to remove unwanted bits.

· A patent-pending formula and a natural plant adhesive are added to bind the ground husks.

· The mixture is then moulded in a high temperature compression machine which sterilises the cup at the same time.

· Finally finishing is done on the cup.

Please note that the surface of OCHA CUP is naturally shiny due to the fact that the rice husk has a layer of natural wax. Therefore, no polishing, spraying or coating is needed.
